Cultural Dining Experience
Dinners for 10-20 Guests @UGK Studio
Our black history dining experience pays tribute to the countless Black Chefs and Historians who have shaped the American culinary landscape. From Edna Lewis, a pioneer of Southern cooking and author of the acclaimed cookbook "The Taste of Country Cooking," to Leah Chase, the Queen of Creole cuisine and owner of the legendary New Orleans restaurant, Dooky Chase's, Black Americans have made significant contributions to the world of food. We also honor modern-day Black chefs such as Marcus Samuelsson, a James Beard Award-winning chef and author of "The Rise: Black Cooks and the Soul of American Food," and Mashama Bailey, the chef and owner of The Grey in Savannah, Georgia, who is known for her innovative approach to Southern cuisine. Join us in celebrating the rich history and cultural heritage of Black Americans through food.
